EMILY SULZER
My name is Emily Sulzer (she/her). I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with a Masters Degree in Counselling Therapy. I am an experienced counselling therapist and sexual health educator who is passionate about helping people understand, accept, and enjoy their sexuality. Throughout my life I have been insatiably curious about people, relationships, and bodies. I have spent most of my academic and personal life learning about these things and sharing what I learn with others. I believe that information is power and many of us have been disempowered by society causing us to distrust our bodies giving us unrealistic and false information about relationships, sex and sexual & gender identity. Therefore, I am passionate about helping others empower themselves with information about themselves and their sexuality. I believe that sexuality is a core part of our humanity and is therefore just as important to take care of and heal as any other parts of our being. I also believe that people should know their bodies and be free to make informed choices about their bodies and am a fierce advocate for reproductive healthcare and LGBTQ2S+ rights.
I see my role as a therapist as a guide, support, and teacher. I use a person-centred approach to therapy that is non-judgemental and collaborative, where my clients can feel that they have equal power in the therapeutic relationship. I strive to create a safe space for my clients to explore their concerns with compassion and acceptance. My hope for my clients is that they feel safe, comfortable, and free to be themselves fully in our sessions together. I hope that through our work together they come to understand and accept themselves, their bodies, their sexual identity and desires more fully and feel empowered about these things as well.
When I am not working with my clients, I spend time with my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Bellini, and with my family and friends. I also love drinking lots of tea, reading books, going for walks with friends, and traveling.

EMILY OPHUS
My name is Emily Ophus (she/her). I am a registered social worker (MSW, RSW), educator, and therapist with more than 10 years of experience in the field of sexual health and holistic wellness.
As a practitioner, I use an anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, and relational approach when working with individuals, couples, families, and groups. I believe that meaningful connection to our bodies, our relationships, and our communities is essential for health and well-being. My areas of specialization include sexuality and sexual health, sexual violence prevention, and healing from trauma. I believe that self-love and self-compassion are transformative and can provide us with the opportunity to reconnect to ourselves and the people in our lives. As a trauma therapist, I support clients in their ability to feel safe and secure in their bodies so that they can fully enjoy and explore the human experience. By nurturing a mind and body connection, I guide clients through the healing journey of embodied health and wellness.

Whether in a one-on-one therapy session or a group facilitation, I strive to create spaces that are affirming, compassionate, and collaborative. While my approach integrates scientifically supported therapy and education techniques, I believe that individuals, groups, and communities are the experts on their own lives and carry their own unique wisdom, strengths, and resiliencies.

When I am not working, I enjoy being outdoors near the water or doing anything on the land, especially hiking. I also love surfing, yoga, and spending time with my loved ones.
